My hubby and I have been married for more than five years. During our first year of being married, we were so sweet and romantic with each other. We were like inseparable and where I go, he was with me. Now after a few years, the sweetness is still there but not as sweet and romantic as before. The busy-ness of life creeps in. We need to think of romantic ideas to rebound relationships like most couples are doing to preserve their relationships and marriages. Writing romantic note or love letter will surely rekindle the fire and will make us love each other more and more as time goes by.

Facts To Ponder
Posted by Lisa at Thursday, February 28, 2008As I was reading this article from my e-mail, I can't help but be alarmed by these statistics. We should be aware of what's happening around us so we can take some precautions. Just read on.
(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000
(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000
(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.
Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health Human Services.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>
Now think about this:
Guns:
(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000.
(Yes, that's 80 million..)
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188
Statistics courtesy of the FBI
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>
Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This is really an alarming threat. We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Out of concern for the public at large, they have withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention!
Mantle Clocks
Posted by Lisa at Thursday, February 28, 2008I love collecting different kinds of clocks. We already have several wall clocks hanging in our house. We have wall clocks in the kitchen, dining room, living room and in our bedrooms. I just want to look at the time so I wanted to have clocks all around our house. While browsing the net, I happened to see different styles of mantle clocks and it caught my eye. The site carries different designs and styles of clocks. I really like their Howard Miller clocks. It's one thing that we haven't have yet and we're dreaming to have one. Whenever we go and visit some of our friends and we see their grandfather clocks, the more hubby and I wants to have one too. I am so fascinated with the styles of Howard Miller mantle clocks. Oh my, all their clocks were exquisitely designed and they are so pretty! I like to have the Howard Miller Filmour Grandfather Clock. It looks so elegant and it would perfectly fit in our living room. They have also a clock's blog and I read there that clocks can transform the look of a home. It will make your house look so elegant especially with the presence of a Howard Miller clock. Just visit the site and browse at their Howard Miller clocks like grandfather or grandmother clocks, Mantel clocks, wall clocks, atomic clocks, home decor, watches and fine jewelries. They offer free USA shipping and in-home set up too. That is cool.
Guide For Staying Young
Posted by Lisa at Thursday, February 28, 2008We all need to read this one over and over until it becomes part of who we are!
HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Try everything twice. On Madams tombstone (of Whelan's and Madam) she said she wanted this epitaph: Tried everything twice...loved it both times!
2. Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down. (keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches;)
3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER. < /B>
6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love: Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity. I love you, my special friend.
11. Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second time.
Lost time can never be found.
Credit Cards for Bad Credit
Posted by Lisa at Thursday, February 28, 2008I know that it's not easy to apply for a credit card if you have a bad credit history. If you need cash for emergency purposes, it's hard to get a loan or borrow money from lenders. People with bad credit history would be happy to know about this site that help consumers get back on their feet financially. You can apply for their bad credit credit cards online. They provide consumers with the knowledge and resources necessary to help them find the best credit offer to fit their need, regardless of a bad credit history. Consumers can choose a category of bad credit offers like credit cards, home loans, auto loans, personal loans, etc. Rather than applying for the first offer that comes in the mail, the site allows visitors to compare dozens of bad credit offers from major providers and find the best offer that fit their needs. And by making payments on time, consumers can rebuild their credit and perhaps their financial future.
How To Lose Weight
Posted by Lisa at Thursday, February 28, 2008A lot of people wants to lose weight. My hubby has been trying to shed off some excess pounds and last time he had this yoyo diet. He lost some and then gained it back. I read an article of how to lose weight. The common denominator is always proper diet and exercise, which not only aid in weight loss, but also keep a body healthy. Of course you've heard this before--the challenge is to follow through. Others have lost weight by following these simple guidelines, and so can you.
Step 1:
Set small, realistic goals. If you have a lot of weight to lose, try for 5 pounds, relax a bit and then go for 5 more.
Step 2:
Start a regular exercise program and stick with it. Don't be afraid of those sweat suits and Lycra pants!
Step 3:
Sneak in extra exercise in addition to your regular program. Park at the far end of the parking lot and walk; take the stairs instead of the elevator.
Step 4:
Healthy foods are an important ingredient in losing weight. Eat low-fat, high-fiber foods such as salads and vegetable pastas.
Step 5:
Choose foods that you like. Learn to prepare healthful, low-calorie foods that taste good by checking healthy cook books for new recipes. Eating well doesn't have to mean eating dull.
Step 6:
Eat smaller, more frequent meals. This way, your body starts to increase its metabolism so that calories are burned faster. Also, mini-meals can prevent overeating.
Step 7:
Plan ahead. Keep the fridge stocked with healthful food and you'll be less likely to run out for high-calorie, high-fat junk food.
Step 8:
Keep a food diary. This will help you pinpoint where you can improve your diet.
Step 9:
Once you discover your favorite snack time, be sure to have plenty of healthful options available.
