A priest was being honored at his retirement dinner after 25 years in the parish. A leading local politician and member of the congregation were chosen to make the presentation and give a little speech at the dinner. He was delayed, so the priest decided to say his own few words while they waited.
'I got my first impression of the parish from the first confession I heard here. I thought I had been assigned to a terrible place. The very first person who entered my confessional told me he had stolen a television set and, when questioned by the police, was able to lie his way out of it. He had stolen money from his parents, embezzled from his employer, had an affair with his boss's wife; taken illegal drugs, and gave VD to his sister. I was appalled. But as the days went on I knew that my people were not all like that and I had, indeed, come to a fine parish full of good and loving people.'.....
Just as the priest finished his talk, the politician arrived full of apologies at being late. He immediately began to make the presentation and gave his talk. 'I'll never forget the first day our parish priest arrived,' said the politician. 'In fact, I had the honor of being the first one to go to him in confession.'
Moral: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER BE LATE
Another site that really rocks lately is SocialSpark. This is a new community wherein you can join for free, create your own profile, submit your blogs and then meet new friends. This site is different from other communities because you can earn money from this site by taking opportunities which are available to you. But first you need to submit your blog and be approved first. I just joined Social Spark a couple of weeks ago and I already have some friends in my site. I'm still new and learning the rules but I'm sure in due time I will get the hang of it and enjoy taking opportunities later. You can also watch their video tutorials on how to get started, adding a blog and creating a sponsored post. In fact I just finished watching it a while ago and I learned a lot by watching it. I'm sure this site will be a hit to bloggers out there who are who are doing paid blogging. Check out my profile HERE and you can request me to be your friend. So what are you waiting for? Join now and be a part of Social Spark, a site that rocks!
A Texan is drinking in a Florida bar when he gets a call on his
cell phone. He hangs up, grinning from ear to ear, and orders a round of
drinks for everybody in the bar announcing his wife has produced a Typical
Texas Baby Boy weighing 25 pounds.
Nobody can believe that any new baby can weigh in at 25 pounds, but
the Texan just shrugs, "That's about average down home, folks. Like I said,
my boy's a Typical Texas Baby Boy." Congratulations showered him from all
around and many exclamations of "WOW!". We heard one woman actually
fainted due to sympathy pains.
Two weeks later he returns to the bar. The bartender says, "Say
you're the father of that typical Texas baby that weighed 25 pounds at
birth. Everybody's been making bets about how big he'd be in two weeks. So
how much does he weigh now?
The proud father answers, "Seventeen pounds." The bartender is
puzzled, concerned and a little suspicious. "What happened? He already
weighed 25 pounds the day he was born!"
The Texas father takes a slow swig from his Lone Star beer, wipes
his lips on his shirt sleeve, leans in to the bartender and proudly says,
"Had'm circumcised
This is an amazing view! You would think it's just a painting but it's real. It's the beauty of God's wonderful creation.

![]() You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily. Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is. You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong. You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do. You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic "Type A" personality. |
