Hubby and I just came home from a 3 days vacation for the holy week. We spent it in the city of pines. We went there with my 2 nephews and their dad and 3 girls who are our relatives. It's refreshing to be in a cool place and my hubby enjoyed the cool weather there. He walked 2 to 3 times a day there. I also had to take the girls around the city because it was their first time to got there. Yesterday I took them to the public market and we bought some fish, veggies and fruits. This morning we took them to Burnham Park then we headed to Camp John Hay for a picnic. We celebrated my nephew's birthday there. We enjoyed the foods, so yummy were the pancit, spaghetti, roasted chicken, lumpia, doughnuts, cake, bananas and some chips and drinks. We had lots of picture taking then we headed to the park and the boys played tennis. After that he headed home and then went back to the lowland.

Childbirth at 65
Posted by Lisa at Wednesday, February 02, 2011From time to time, I share here those forwarded e-mails that made me laugh. I received quite a few everyday but I just chose to read those interesting or funny ones. Here's one of them.
With all the new technology regarding fertility recently, a 65-year-old friend of mine was able to give birth. When she was discharged from the hospital and went home, I went to visit.
'May I see the new baby?' I asked
'Not yet,' she said 'I'll make coffee and we can visit for a while first.'
Thirty minutes had passed and I asked, 'May I see the new baby now?'
'No, not yet,' she said.
After another few minutes had elapsed, I asked again, 'May I see the baby now?'
'Nooooo, not yet,' replied my friend.
Growing very impatient, I asked, 'Well, when can I see the baby?'
'WHEN HE CRIES!' she told me.
'WHEN HE CRIES?' I demanded. 'Why do I have to wait until he cries?
'BECAUSE...... I FORGOT WHERE I PUT HIM..... OKAY?!!'

Crowded Park
Posted by Lisa at Saturday, December 25, 2010We went to Burnham Park this afternoon with hubby, my sis-in-law, her baby and my cousin Mylyn. We were surprised to see a bunch of people there. That park was crowded with people and it was so hard to walk in a crowded place like that. We planned to walk and roam around but we changed our minds when saw the people there. We just took some photos, and when we saw a vacant bench, we sat down and just gazed at the pond where many people were boating. Hubby sat down and he just watched people passing by. Others were just sitting there and having a picnic. When a kid came to sing a carol song and asked for money and an old woman came to ask money, we decided to leave. We proceeded to the store where Mylyn bought a pair of blue jeans and a sandal. After that we waited for a taxi and went home.
