What Do You Think?
Posted by Lisa at Friday, January 25, 2008Online CDL Test Training
Posted by Lisa at Friday, January 25, 2008Here in the US, you can't drive a big truck or 10 wheeler truck unless you have a Commercial Driver's License or CDL. You have to take a the test and pass it in order to get a CDL. That's there requirement. Driving trucks pays good too and you get to see a lot of places here in the US. The only disadvantage is you will be away from your family most of the time. My hubby used to have a Commercial Driver's License but he was not able to renew when he was in the Philippines with me. When he got here in the US his CDL had expired. Now, he has to take and pass the test again in order to get one. He said that he needs to review first so his mind would be refresh before he takes the test. He never find time to do it yet. He's always busy in his job. He never find time to review. One more thing is that he doesn't have the resources for his review materials that's why he always put it off. It's good I found this site called www.idrivetrucks.com that offers CDL Test training online. They also offer LCV training as well as CMV training for FMCSA Compliance. All their courses are good for all US States. They also provide coupons to anyone who's interested so they can go through the purchase process and review the course of their choice. I have to tell my hubby about this site. This is what he needs so he can have his online CDL test training to refresh his mind before taking the written and actual test. I'm sure he would be glad to check out this site. When he will get his CDL, my hubby can drive the church bus to help the bus kids ministry.

He has his favorite team and he cheers for them whenever they are leading. I believe most car racing fanatics do that. But do you know anything about the Tubus Racing team? Well to tell you something about them, Tubus Racing is a Swedish Cross Country Rally Racing Team with a plan to take on Dakar in 2009. This is the First Swedish team to have sponsorship (from Isuzu)for the Dakar.
Pelle Wallentheim has over twenty years of motorsport competition experience; having been a competitor in motorcycle enduro’s as well as regional and national car rally events in Sweden. Pelle is a Cancer survivor and will be using the race to create awareness that cancer doesn’t have to stop you from accomplishing your goals. Anyone can accomplish anything.
Olle Ohlsson (Pelle Wallentheim’s co-driver and partner in this project) is Sweden’s most experienced Cross Country Rally competitor. He has competed in Cross Country Rally events the world over since 1988.

Shop For Valentine's Day
Posted by Lisa at Friday, January 18, 2008Valentine's Day is just a few weeks away! Before you know it, your loved ones will be ready to celebrate! Don't worry, CouponChief is here for you. Valentine's Day is coming pretty soon and people are now thinking of shopping gifts for their loved ones. I'm thinking what gift will I buy for my hubby for Valentine's Day. I don't drive at all so I will just buy online at CouponChief.com. What's good in this site is that they offer online shopping coupons for online shoppers like me. I have some things that I want to buy in this site for my hubby and me of course. First of all I want to buy the mini-digicamcorder that my hubby wants to have at Best Buy. They have discounted prices for their digicamcorders and I can use my coupon codes. Next I want to buy another domain for my site at 1 and 1 because this site offers a good deal in buying a domain. To avoid the hassle of going into a crowded mall and stand in long lines, I’d rather shop at CouponChief and avail of the coupon codes that they offer. I will not only save cash but I will also save gas.

Grandma's Boyfriend
Posted by Lisa at Wednesday, January 16, 2008A 5-year-old boy went to visit his grandmother one day. Playing with his toys in her bedroom while grandma was dusting, he looked up and said, 'Grandma, how come you don't have a boyfriend now that Grandpa went to heaven?'
Grandma replied, 'Honey, my TV is my boyfriend. I can sit in my bedroom and watch it all day long. The religious programs make me feel good and the comedies make me laugh. I'm happy with my TV as my boyfriend.'
Grandma turned on the TV, and the reception was terrible. She started adjusting the knobs, trying to get the picture in focus. Frustrated, she started hitting the backside of the TV hoping to fix the problem.
The little boy heard the doorbell ring, so he hurried to open the door and there stood Grandma's minister. The minister said, 'Hello son, is you r Gran dma home?'
The little boy replied, 'Yeah, she's in the bedroom bangin' her boyfriend.'
The minister fainted.
Now, that's funny...

Vacuum Cleaners
Posted by Lisa at Tuesday, January 15, 2008Cleaning the house is not complete without vacuuming the floor and the furnitures like the sofa, couch and the chairs. If we really want to get rid of the dirt and the dust especially the carpet, vacuuming it is a necessity. It's only when I got here in the US that I learned how to use vacuum cleaners. We didn't have one in our house in the Philippines because our floor there is not carpeted. The first time I used it, my hubby showed me how to operate it. It's not really that hard to operate a vacuum cleaner. Only I asked my hubby to buy a vacuum cleaner that is not too heavy, suck the dust good and have some extensions to reach out the smallest area. There's a site that carries different brands and styles of vacuum cleaners. You can also see the vacuum cleaner rating of the different models and styles of vacuum cleaners. You can compare the prices too of different name brands of vacuum cleaners. If you like a strong suction vacuum cleaner, just browse in their site. If you want a handheld vacuum cleaner they have it too. Name it and they have it. Just look at their different vacuum cleaners and decide what is right for you.

I have 2 eyeglasses but I think I need to upgrade my eyeglasses now. I need to get a new prescription eyeglasses and then I will just order online. It's Getting Slow in PPP
Posted by Lisa at Friday, January 11, 2008Getting opps in PPP is kinda so ridiculous nowadays. Since my page rank in my other blog dropped from PR 2 to big fat 0, opportunities for me become scarce. And the thing is, whenever I refresh my browser when I'm in PPP's website to check the opportunities, it is so SLOW. I am already using DSL connection and it's supposed to be faster but when it comes to PPP it's slow. This morning I reserved 2 opportunities that were still colored white and green meaning they're still available but since it's so slow going to the page and when I clicked reserve this opportunity, it takes forever to go to the next page. Then when it's there, the opportunity is already taken. So frustrating really. Before my PR dropped I used to get maximum post of 6 a day and sometimes I was one of the top earners of the day. But now I just get 1 or most of the time nothing. Google took away my PR in my other blog. I only enjoyed it for 1 1/2 months. I don't know what's their basis of taking away page rank. But it surely affected my earnings. I want my PR back...

Human Touch Quality Massage Chairs
Posted by Lisa at Tuesday, January 08, 2008I love being massaged all over my body. In fact I go to a massage therapist every now and then. The massage makes me feel so calm and relax. It eases away my stress and tensions from everyday routine. I don't mind spending my money to get a massage because it's worth it. Sometimes I just wished that there's somebody to give me a massage in the comfort of my home. I'm so amazed to see that there's a Massage Chair which is being offered in the internet. Massage Chairs by Human Touch provide back pain relief and combine state-of-the-art massage technology and undeniable style. Human touch massage chairs replicate proven techniques used by professional massage therapists and chiropractors. This is really cool huh! I want to have this massage chair so I don't have to go to a massage therapist no more. I can stay in my home and still get that massage if I own one of these massage chairs. My hubby can also use it because he always complain of lower back pains. He also needs a massage as much as I do.

Online Used Car Listings
Posted by Lisa at Monday, January 07, 2008Hubby and I have been wanting to buy a car but as of now, we don't have yet the money for it. We are still budgeting and saving some money so we can buy one. We just want to buy a good slightly used car to save money. If some of you are planning to buy a used car, then you can browse at BuyYourCar and look into their Used Cars
section. You will be amazed at what is available. There is an enormous selection of used cars offered at the best prices by both private sellers and used car dealerships.
Save time and money! BuyYourCar has a simple to use Search. Enter in the make and model of the car you’re looking for as well as a few other options like colour, price range, location and who you would prefer to buy from: a private owner or a dealer (or both!). You can also select how you want the results to be sorted: by Latest Offers, Distance, Lowest or Highest Prices. Click on the Search button and you’re on your way to finding just what you’re looking for! By offering the cheapest prices available for any used car online, BuyYourCar is able to guarantee that they offer very competitive rates.
Still not sure what to look for? Look at the menu on the left hand side of the page. Their Buying Advice section offers excellent advice on what to ask the seller (i.e., Why are you selling the vehicle? Are you the original owner? How many miles on the clock?), how to inspect a used car both before and after a test drive (there are nine points pre-test drive and at least seven points post-test drive: best advice is to look at the car during the daytime and to also listen for any strange sounds as well as to paying attention to any unusual smells!), safe buying tips and as if that weren’t enough, they also provide you with an 18 points buyer’s checklist!
Buyer Beware! Unfortunately, in this day and age, it is necessary to do whatever we can to protect ourselves. BuyYourCar offers great advice on how to avoid being scammed.
Nice Weather
Posted by Lisa at Monday, January 07, 2008It's a beautiful day today and during the weekend. Weather is great, and temperature is in the 70's. Feels like we're in spring already. It's so nice to go walking around. Unlike the past days wherein the weather was so windy and cold. This is Texas, the temperature changes quickly.

WeGotYourTickets.com - Ticket Sales
Posted by Lisa at Thursday, January 03, 2008I know some people out there likes to go to concerts, super bowl, go to theater and watch the show live. It's more fun to go watch sports live rather than watch it on tv. I haven't tried yet to go watch the sports live. I bet my hubby would want to go watch his favorite NFL football sport live. That's one of his favorite sports to watch aside from car racing. I'm not really into watching sports. I prefer to go watch a live concert of my favorite stars. If hubby and I decide to go and watch a concert or football, we can purchase our tickets at WeGotYourTickets.com. That's right, WeGotYourTickets.com - Sports, Concerts, & Theatre Tickets are available online. We don't have to go anywhere to buy or worry if tickets will be sold out. We can buy it in their website ahead of time.
My New Blog
Posted by Lisa at Thursday, January 03, 2008I have created a new blog of mine a couple of months ago. This blog was inspired by the Word of God in the Bible. I just want to share God's Word to other people and tell the whole wide world that we have a God who cares for us and love us unconditionally. The world wide web is a good place to witness to other people and win souls to Jesus. I asked my hubby to post there his messages so he will be my co-author in that blog. Hubby is a preacher and he has some messages to share to others. We need to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ before He comes back, "Go ye therefore into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." MARK 16:15. I also bought a domain for this blog last month. I hope and pray that this blog will be a blessing to other people. Visit my new blog by clicking HERE. To my readers, I hope you give God the top priority in your life for without Him, we are nothing and we will not be in this world.

Ice Cream Cone
Posted by Lisa at Tuesday, January 01, 2008 Paul Newman
Only women of a certain era will fully appreciate this....true story. (if you don't understand this, tell your mother, she'll get it)
A Michigan woman and her family were vacationing in a small New England town where Paul Newman and his family often visited.
One Sunday morning, the woman got up early to take a long walk. After a brisk five-mile hike, she decided to treat herself to a double-dip chocolate ice cream cone.
She hopped in the car, drove to the center of the village and went straight to the combination bakery/ice cream parlor.
There was only one other patron in the store. Paul Newman, sitting at the counter having a doughnut and coffee. The woman's heart skipped a beat as her eyes made contact with those famous baby-blue eyes. The actor nodded graciously and the star struck woman smiled demurely.
Pull yourself together! She chides herself. You're a happily married woman with three children, you're forty-five years old, not a teenager!
The clerk filled her order and she took the double-dip chocolate ice cream cone in one hand and her change in the other. Then she went out the door, avoiding even a glance in Paul Newman's direction.
When she reached her car, she realized that she had a handful of change but her other hand was empty. Where's my ice cream cone? Did I leave it in the store? Back into the shop she went, expecting to see the cone still in the clerk's hand or in a holder on the counter or something. No ice cream cone was in sight.
With that, she happened to look over at Paul Newman. His face broke into his familiar warm friendly grin and he said to the woman,
You put it in your purse
