Goodbye Friendster, Hello Facebook

I have been facebooking since December 2008. Prior to this, I've been so engrossed in Friendster but I got so disappointed with it because each time I changed the background of my profile and put some buttons or some cute graphics in it, Friendster will change or alter their codes and as a result, the codes I put in my profile won't work no more. It really made me mad. Imagine after all the hard work and time I spent in updating my profile's background, then suddenly it won't work. That's totally disgusting. So when I learned about Facebook, I signed up and posted some of my photos there. Then not long after that, most if not all of my Friendster friends signed up in Facebook too. I also signed up for hubby's FB so both of us are facebooking now. I seldom open my Friendster since I signed up in FB. That's what Friendster got after all those code alterations they did. Most people transferred to FB. So goodbye FS, Hello FB. Serve them right huh!

Getting Lazy

I'm back here again in this blog. I know I've been lagging behind in updating my blogs but I'm just feeling lazy blogging lately especially in this blog. I have 6 blogs all in all and I find it hard updating all of it. I ran out of things to write about unlike before when all of my blogs have their PRs. I got lots of opportunities to write about and of course I was so excited earning some money. But when the mighty google took away the PR of my blogs one after the other, opps became so scarce like rain during summer. That's the time that I got so lazy writing here in my blog and some of my blogs. I was even thinking of not renewing my domain in this blog and just go back to blogspot. Since I bought this domain, a few years ago, the PR still remained 0 and I'm not so happy about it. It's like I'm not getting my money's worth in paying the domain yearly. So I made up my mind not renew it when the time comes.

A Quarter

The following story was sent to me by my hubby in my e-mail. The message is so clear, practice what you preach. You just don't know somebody is watching your actions especially if they know you are a servant of God. I always tell this to hubby because he is also a preacher. Walk the talk.

Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston , Texas . Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change. As he considered what to do, he thought to

himself, 'You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it.' Then he thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a 'gift from God' and keep quiet.'

When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, 'Here, you gave me too much change ...'

The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren't you the new preacher in town?'

'Yes' he replied.

'Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday.'

When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter.'

Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is a really scary example of how much people watch us as Christians, and will put us to the test! Always be on guard -- and remember -- You carry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself 'Christian.'

Watch your thoughts ; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
