My friend Ann told me the other day that there was a sale in Bath & Body Works just for 4 days. I love the scents of Bath & Body Works lotion. It really smell good. I used to love Victoria Secret when I was in the Philippines. In fact when hubby went in the Philippines the second time I asked him to buy for me Victoria Secret lotion and he did. He bought me several bottles of Victoria Secret lotion, perfume and exfoliating cream. When I got here in the US I tried Bath and Body Works lotion and I love the smell too. So hubby and I went to the mall yesterday to avail of their sale. As expected, lots of people were there, mostly ladies of course. I even saw my friend Arlene there who also went there to avail of the sale. Imagine the body cream which has a price tag of $10.50 was marked down to $3 only. I got 4 of them, he-he! The lotion which was $9.50 was on sale for $4. I only got 2. I had to fall in line when I checked out. Line was long. Now I have a stock of body cream and lotion.

Happy Moments
Posted by Lisa at Friday, December 28, 2007So Christmas is over but the memories remain. I captured those moments with my digicam. I can always always look at the photos and see what we did this time of year. I will always cherish those moments and I'll be remembering it when hubby and I decide to go back to the Philippines. My hubby and his kids are my family here and they are dear to me. Here are photos of my hubby with his kids taken on Christmas.

A.S.A.P.
Posted by Lisa at Friday, December 28, 2007Ever wonder about the abbreviation A.S.A.P.? Generally we think of it
in terms of even more hurry and stress in our lives. Maybe if we think of
this abbreviation in a different manner, we will begin to find a new way to
deal with those rough days along the way.
*************
There's work to do, deadlines to meet;
You've got no time to spare,
But as you hurry and scurry-
ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER
In the midst of family chaos,
"Quality time" is rare.
Do your best; let God do the rest-
ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER.
It may seem like your worries
Are more than you can bear.
Slow down and take a breather-
ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER
God knows how stressful life is;
He wants to ease our cares,
And He'll respond to all your needs
A.S.A.P. - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER.

Discount Inkjet Cartridges
Posted by Lisa at Thursday, December 27, 2007We have two all-in-one printers in the house. My hubby bought it for me so I can print whatever I want. I mostly print photos in our printer because hubby doesn't want to go to Wal Mart and wait for me while I'm transfering my photos and editing it in the photo machine. I already printed a lot of our photos that's why most of the time I run out of ink. In fact I'm low of printer ink right now. I really needed to buy more so I can print the photos that we took last Christmas with the family. It's good I've seen this website that sells discount inkjet cartridges. At Inkjetdeals.info, you can find all the stores that sell ink cartridges and laser toner for up to 80% discounts. This is really cool. You can also find there a compatible Canon printer ink cartridge for your Canon printer. My two all-in-one printers at home uses Lexmark printer ink cartridge and HP printer ink cartidge. I can find the stores that carry these brands at inkjetdeals.info. The site also offers discount ink cartridge coupons so I can save money. This is a great store to buy all my printing needs.
FIRST CORINTHIANS 13 (CHRISTMAS VERSION)
Posted by Lisa at Thursday, December 27, 2007If I decorate my house perfectly with plaid bows, strands of twinkling lights and shiny balls, but do not show love to my family, I'm just another decorator.
If I slave away in the kitchen, baking dozens of Christmas cookies, preparing gourmet meals and arranging a beautifully adorned table at mealtime, but do not show love to my family, I'm just another cook.
If I work at a soup kitchen, carol in the nursing home, and give all that I have to charity, but do not show love to my family, it profits me nothing.
If I trim the spruce with shimmering angels and crocheted snowflakes, attend a myriad of holiday parties and sing in the choir's cantata, but do not focus on Christ,
I have missed the point.
Love stops the cooking to hug the child.
Love sets aside the decorating to kiss the spouse.
Love is kind, though harried and tired.
Love does not envy another's home that has coordinated Christmas china and table linens.
Love does not yell at the kids to get out of the way, but is thankful they are there to be in the way.
Love does not give only to those who are able to give in return, but rejoices in giving to those who cannot.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
Love never fails.
Video games will break, pearl necklaces will be lost, golf clubs will rust, but giving the gift of love will endure.

Show Your Video Online
Posted by Lisa at Friday, December 21, 2007A lot of people nowadays are uploading their video online. Their friends and loved ones from faraway can view it when they log on to the internet. Also bloggers do it in their website to make money. But did you know that there's a new site wherein you can upload your videos? AdoTube.com Interactive In-Stream Media Player Technology allows showing online videos with a “roll-over mouse” message. When the mouse rolls over the area, an interactive ad -- demographically targeted for the viewer -- appears. Read the press release:
Blogs, online Web logs or journals, have become wildly popular -- so much so that Business Week printed an article, earlier this year, to shed some light on just how many blogs there are and how often people participate in this form of communication. They reported that there are over 70 million blogs worldwide, with over 15 million of them being considered active, that is, updated regularly.
Research shows that about 1.5 million new blog posts are created every day. Most bloggers set out to make money from their blogs, yet the majority of them don’t know the most lucrative routes to take in order to make that actually happen.
“There are people out there making a living off of blogging, and there are some making just a little bit each month,” explains Leo Grzhonko, president of Adotube.com. “The difference between making nothing and getting paid each month to share your thoughts on a blog comes down to taking advantage of proper revenue channels.”
There are many routes people can take in an effort to raise money from their blog. But if people aren’t keeping up on the latest methods, they may not be getting what they could in return. Many bloggers have taken advantage of the viewer’s love of watching online videos, coupled with their experience of not wanting to be interrupted by advertisements. This route is one that many find in the AdoTube Interactive In-Stream Media Player Technology. They have made it as easy as showing online videos with an intriguing “roll-over mouse” message. When the mouse rolls over the area, an interactive ad -- demographically targeted for the viewer -- appears.
“Our opt-in advertising technology was created for those seeking a simple and effective way to make money online,” adds Grzhonko. “We refer to it as the in-stream interactive online video monetizing solution. With this, anyone can take their blog or Web site and turn it into a profitable venture.”

Too Funny
Posted by Lisa at Thursday, December 20, 2007I had a good laugh reading this in my e-mail. I thought of sharing it here.
What Religion is Your Bra?
A man walked into the ladies department of a Macy's and shyly walked up to
the woman behind the counter and said, 'I'd like to buy a bra for my wife.'
'What type of bra?' asked the clerk.
'Type?' inquires the man, 'There's more than one type?'
'Look around,' said the saleslady, as she showed a sea of bras in every
shape, size, color and material imaginable. Actually, even with all of this variety, there are really only four types of bras to choose.'
Relieved, the man asked about the types.
The saleslady replied:
'There are the Catholic, the Salvation Army, the Presbyterian, and the
Baptist types. Which one would you prefer?'
Now totally befuddled, the man asked about the differences between them.
The Saleslady responded, 'It is all really quite simple... '
The Catholic type supports the masses.
The Salvation Army type lifts the fallen,
The Presbyterian type keeps them staunch and upright, and
The Baptist makes mountains out of mole hills.
Have you ever wondered why A, B, C, D, DD, E, F, G, and H are the letters
used to define bra sizes?
If you have wondered why, but couldn't figure out what the letters stood
for, it is about time you became informed!
{A} Almost Boobs...
{B} Barely there.
{C} Can't Complain!
{D} Dang!
{DD} Double dang!
{E} Enormous!
{F} Fake.
{G} Get a Reduction.
{H} Help me, I've fallen and I can't get up!
Send this to all that will appreciate it!
They forgot the German bra.

Does God Exist?
Posted by Lisa at Wednesday, December 19, 2007This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and
suffering that I have seen. It's an explanation other people will
understand:
A lady went to a beauty shop to have her hair cut and her nails painted and
trimmed. As the lady began to work, they began to have a good conversation.
They talked about so many things and various subjects.
When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the beautician said: "I
don't believe that God exists."
"Why do you say that?" asked Sheryl who has MS.
"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God
doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people?
\Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither
suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these
things."
Then Sheryl thought for a moment, but didn't respond because she didn't want
to start an argument. The beautician just finished her job and the customer
left the shop. Just after
she left the beauty shop, she saw a woman in the street with long, stringy,
dirty hair and not groomed at all. She looked dirty and unkempt.
Then Sheryl turned back and entered the beauty shop again and she said to
the beautician: "You know what? Beauticians do not exist."
"How can you say that?" asked the surprised beautician. "I am here, and I am
a beautician. And I just worked on you!"
"No!" Sheryl exclaimed. "Beauticians don't exist because if they did, there
would be no people with dirty long hair and be very unkempt, like that woman
outside."
"Ah, but beauticians DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me."
"Exactly!"- affirmed Sheryl. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! What
happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That 's why
there's so much pain and suffering in the world."
If you believe God exists, send this to other people--If you think God does
not exist, delete it!
Dear Lord:
Keep your arm around my shoulder and your hand over my mouth!
Amen.
Finance Genius
Posted by Lisa at Wednesday, December 19, 2007Are you planning to buy a car and you want to have the best deal? Perhaps you want to get a used car so you can save more. You need to check this website that I've seen in the internet to help you. FinanceGenius assists their customers with financial options for savings in various areas of family spending. When buying a car you need to check the warranty. Used Car Warranty is a little trickier since it depends on where you get the car from. There are 2 types for used cars: the manufacturer’s warranty and the implied warranty. Then of course, many have no warranty at all, which is usually referred to “as is.” Make sure you know what you’re purchasing and that you are okay with it.

Ultimate Paintball Store
Posted by Lisa at Sunday, December 16, 2007I am not really into guns or even toy guns because these are for males. My nephews have toy guns and my hubby have 2 pellet guns. I haven't seen my hubby used his pellet guns though. He's just too busy in his work and during his off, he just watch tv in the house. This morning I happened to see a website that offers paintball gun package online. They sell different kinds of paintball guns like spyder mr2 in their online store. When hubby came home for lunch, I asked him what are they because I have no idea. He said paintball guns are used for sports but is intended for adults only. He asked why. I told him I just saw in the internet that they are selling it with discounted price. Their top selling guns are Tippmann A-5, Tippmann 98 Custom, Smart Parts Ion, and Spyder Pilot ACS. Ultimate Paintball offers the best prices with free shipping. It's my first time to see these kind of guns and I thought of writing it here.
Revival
Posted by Lisa at Sunday, December 16, 2007Our revival in our church started today. Our guest speaker Bro. dave McCracken is a very good evangelist. This morning, he preached about repentance. He said that you can't be saved without repentance from your sins. He also said that repentance and faith are like siamese twins. You repent from your sins because you believe that God will save you if you do. Bro. Dave knows how to catch the audience attention. He told stories that relates to the verses that he read. He also crack jokes that made us laugh. Tonight he preached again. Our revival will last until Wednesday. It's our prayer that after the revival, all of us will be revived and our faith will be strengthen.

Celebrating Our Friends' Wedding Anniversary
Posted by Lisa at Sunday, December 16, 2007Our friends Pastor Yanie and Sis Modie treated us for lunch at Golden Corral buffet restaurant yesterday. It was their 28th wedding anniversary and we celebrated it there. They spent the night with us last Friday and they went back to Bowie yesterday afternoon. It was so cold and windy yesterday so we had to wear layered clothes and thick coats. While we were at the restaurant, we keep taking photos as souvenir of that special occasion in our friends' married life. They will be flying to Los Angeles, California on Tuesday and after three weeks they gonna fly back to the Philippines. They've been here in Texas for one and a half year to attend the Bible Translation class. They're so excited to go back and see their kids and their church members. Anyways, we had a good meal yesterday. I got to eat again my favorites meatloaf, chicken fried steak, grilled chicken and corn on the cob. I wish I can eat more but my belly get full easily. My mouth wanted to eat more but my belly said "stop, no more place". But I managed to eat a small slice of carrot cake and a cookie for my dessert. At night I didn't really eat because I was still full. Thanks to Pastor Yanie and Sis Modie for a delicious meal. We will miss you guys. Have a safe trip.
NameYourLoan.com
Posted by Lisa at Sunday, December 16, 2007A lot of people are in need of cash nowadays. It's so hard to get by if you don't have money to buy the things you need like groceries, gas and also to pay the bills. Now if you're in this situation and you need cash you can avail the services of nameyourloan.com. Just go online and you can check this website and you can see there How NameYourLoan.com Works. This site uses auctions to get the best mortgage deals for borrowers.
Press Release:
NameYourLoan.com Diversifies Current Lending Environment for Borrowers with New Approach to Online Mortgage Loans.
New online mortgage auction site, NameYourLoan.com, has revolutionized the way borrowers obtain mortgage loans online. As a unique and creative online community, borrowers can easily connect with the best mortgage lenders while lenders benefit from a wealth of real time mortgage leads and opportunities for business growth.
(PRWEB) – In today’s tough lending environment, littered with deceitful lenders and cunning tactics, it’s high time for a revolutionary tool that can empower borrowers yet still benefit lenders. NameYourLoan.com has answered the need with the launch of a new online mortgage auction site designed to give consumers access to an increasing mortgage lenders network to ultimately obtain great online mortgage loans.
“For centuries, auctions have been the most efficient and effective way to get the best deals in everything,” says Al Salahi, President and CEO of NameYourLoan.com. “Why not have auctions for all mortgage loan types?”
NameYourLoan.com is an online community where borrowers can easily connect with the best mortgage lenders. Lenders compete with one another in an online auction to win the borrower’s business. As numerous lenders submit loan offers, the site enables consumers to see “apples to apples”, compare mortgage interest rates and achieve the lowest rate mortgage online such as the best home equity loan rate or home refinance loan.
The site’s sophisticated computer system compiles and calculates all the information submitted by lenders (interest rates, points, fees, terms, etc.) and then ranks loan offers, based on their true worth relative to the borrower’s stated preferences (lowest rate, lowest fees or best combination of rates and fees). This simplified process gives borrowers a coherent presentation of information without having to do the math themselves.
Unlike other online mortgage comparison shopping services, only those lenders who come out at the top of the auction with the lowest interest rates and fees get a chance at the borrower’s business. Moreover, borrowers can invite their friend or relative lender to participate in the borrower’s auction quickly and without cost. Lenders who refuse to participate are most likely high priced and not the best mortgage lenders.
“Through advanced technology, we are starting to make haggling and deceptive lending tactics a thing of the past,” explains Salahi. “At the same time, we are transforming a generally stressful and complicated process into a very pleasant and easy experience for borrowers. Our multiple bid auction format, coupled with constant consumer feedback, will make it easy for us to weed out dishonest lenders—and hopefully put them out of business!”
Use of NameYourLoan.com is completely free for borrowers. Borrowers are under no obligation to accept any of the online mortgage loans offered in the auction. To protect against identity theft and fraud, site users are never asked for sensitive information, and lenders that receive multiple consumer complaints will be barred from future auctions.
For more information, visit NameYourLoan.com.
About NameYourLoan.com:
NameYourLoan.com is the world’s first online mortgage auction, designed to advance the lending process by helping honest and competitive lenders grow their business, and at the same time, make it possible for borrowers to instantaneously reach multiple lenders and receive competitive loan offers online, in an auction format. NameYourLoan.com uses a patent-pending concept powered by sophisticated proprietary software that has been developed by a number of technology heavyweights from the Fortune 500 arena.

Happy Moments With Our Friends
Posted by Lisa at Saturday, December 15, 2007Before going out for lunch at Golden Corral today to celebrate the 28th wedding anniversary of Pastor Yanie and Sis Modie, we thought of taking photos inside our house. We wanted to have souvenirs with our guests. They will be flying to Los Angeles on Tuesday and after three weeks there, they gonna fly back to the Philippines. We will surely miss them but they have works to do there in their church. They're planning to come back again sometime next year. They told me that they will visit my family in Pangasinan. They live in Pampanga and it's just about 3 hours drive. I sent some stuff to them for my sister. Not that bulky because they don't have room no more. Well, here are the photos that we took. We were having some fun while taking these photos.
Memory Foam Mattresses
Posted by Lisa at Saturday, December 15, 2007Our mattress is already old and needs a replacement. Hubby is already complaining that the mattress is hard on his back that's why he likes to sleep in the other room where the mattress is soft. The problem is that bed is only a full bed. There's hardly a space for both of us. Hubby is chubby so we need more space to sleep in. We really need a soft queen size mattress for our bed. Hubby has been having lower back pains so we really need a comfortable mattress. I've been searching the internet for a good mattress. I heard that Tempurpedic mattress is a good one and it makes one sleep better. It is a high-density, memory foam mattress and is comfortable and therapeutic, contouring to the body and providing support where it is needed. Even better, AngelBeds offers these sleep systems at discount prices. AngelBeds and Tempur-Pedic are unique in that they are the ONLY memory sleep system manufacturers to offer identical NASA-developed HD (higher density) foam technology. This revolutionary technology relieves pressure & stress while conforming to every contour of your body. This scientific break-through is what makes AngelBeds & Tempur-Pedic memory sleep systems the best on the market today. I'm sure this mattress will suit my hubby and me and make us sleep better.
Supper at Cici's Pizza
Posted by Lisa at Saturday, December 15, 2007Last Thursday, our Filipino friends Pastor Yanie and his wife Sis Modie came up here and visited us. Hubby and I were so glad to have them here in our house and they spent the night with us. They are good Christian friends and we really enjoyed their company. They invited us to Cici's Pizza and we met there those people from their church in Bowie. They all came up here in Wichita Falls and have a Christmas celebration at Cici's Pizza. This is a buffet restaurant that serves different kinds of pizza pies. They also have vegetable salad. The East Side Baptist Church paid our meals and it was really a blessing. Hubby had the chance to talk to Pastor Jamie Reed, their church pastor. I was only able to eat 4 slices of different pizza flavors and I already got full. That's the most I can eat. My hubby had eaten a lot though. He loves pizza pies. We went home very full.

WARNING ABOUT Pancake Mix (and other boxed mixes)
Posted by Lisa at Tuesday, December 11, 2007Throw away ALL OUTDATED pancake mix you have in your home, PLEASE! If you don't believe me, read this article and then follow the 'Link' below to SNOPES. Sorry to be the Grim Reaper of bad news, but I would rather have you ALIVE; a $2.00 box of pancake mix is NOT worth your life.
P. S. You might want to tell this to your children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and anyone else who keeps pancake mix in the cupboard.
WARNING - READ ON. CHECK SNOPES, TOO.
From Snopes:
I recently made a batch of pancakes for my healthy 14-year-old son, using a mix that was in our pantry. He said that they tasted "funny," but ate them anyway. About 10 minutes later, he began having difficulty breathing and his lips began turning purple. I gave him his allergy pill, had him sit on the sofa and told him to relax. He was wheezing while inhaling and exhaling.
My husband, a volunteer firefighter and EMT, heated up some water, and we had my son lean over the water so the steam could clear his chest and sinuses. Soon his breathing became more regular and his lips returned to a more normal color. We checked the date on the box of pancake mix and, to my dismay, found it was very outdated. As a reference librarian at an academic institution, I have the ability to search through many research databases. I did just that, and found an article the next day that mentioned a 19-year-old male DYING after eating pancakes made with outdated mix. Apparently, the mold that forms in old pancake mix can be toxic!
When we told our friends about my son's close call, we were surprised at the number of people who mentioned that they should check their own pancake mix since they don't use it often, or they had purchased it some time ago. With so many people shopping at warehouse-type stores and buying large sizes of pancake mix, I hope your readers will take the time to check the expiration date on their boxes.
Also, beware of outdated Bisquick, cake, brownie and cookie mixes.
This is TRUE--Check it out!

Good Day!!!
Posted by Lisa at Tuesday, December 11, 2007Good day everybody! it's still raining today and the temperature is cold. It makes me so lazy and I got up late this morning. Last night I was busy wrapping gifts for the grandkids. After I finished wrapping the gifts, I put them underneath our Christmas tree. Our Christmas tree looks better with the gifts underneath it. I was asking hubby last night what's his gift to me on Christmas. He said "me". I told him I already have him the whole year so I need another gift, he-he-he! Anyways, with gifts or no Christmas gifts, Christmas will still go on. I will just be contented of whatever the Lord will give me. He already gave me His Son Jesus who came here on earth and saved me from my sins. I can't ask for a better gift.

Posted by Lisa at Friday, December 07, 2007Please read this. An interesting piece of information.......
Have a look at the wrapper on a Coca-Cola 1.5 liter bottle and in the ingredients label you will find phosphoric acid in it. Minute quantities of ethylene glycol are also used (which is acknowledged in the soft drink world for making it really chill).
This is popularly known as anti-freeze which prevents water from
freezing at 0 deg C and instead drops it 4-5 degrees with minute
quantities. This chemical is a known slow poison in the caliber of
arsenic. So, if you manage to drink about 4 liters of Coke within
an hour or so, you can die.
Read along and give up these dangerous things. Be natural;
have flavored milks, tender coconuts, buttermilk, and plain water
instead of these "soft" drinks.
Guess what's the pH for soft drinks, e.g. Coke? PH 3.4! This acidity is strong enough to dissolve teeth and bones!
Our human body stops building bones at the age of about 30.
Soft drinks do not have any nutrition value (in terms of vitamins
&minerals). It is high in sugar content, carbonic acid, chemicals i.e. colorings etc. Some like to take cold soft drinks after each meal. Guess what's the impact? Our body needs an optimum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius for digestive enzyme functioning.
The temperature of cold soft drinks is very much below 37 degrees
or even close to 0 degrees Celsius. This will dilute the enzymes &
stress the digestive system. The food taken will not be digested.
In fact it will be fermented! The fermented food produces
gases, decays and becomes toxin, gets absorbed by the intestine,
circulates in the blood stream and is carried to the whole body. Hence toxin is accumulated in other parts of the body, developing into various diseases.
Think before you drink coke/Pepsi (or any soft drink) again.
Take water or juices instead. Have you ever thought what
you drink when you drink an aerated drink? You gulp down
carbon dioxide, when nobody in the world would advise you to
drink CO2.
Two months back, there was a competition at Delhi University
"Who could drink the most Coke?" The winner drank 8 bottles
and fainted on the spot-too much CO2 in the blood. Thereafter,
the principal banned all soft drinks from the college canteen!
While this might have been an extreme measure, their results
do provide some food for thought. Did you know that soft drinks
use chemicals in them that cause immense harm to you. Someone
put a broken tooth in a bottle of Pepsi and in 10 days it DISSOLVED!
Can you believe it? Teeth and bones are the only human parts
that stay intact for years after death.
Imagine what the drink must be doing to your soft intestines and
stomach lining!

Posted by Lisa at Thursday, December 06, 2007The Sedona Method
Posted by Lisa at Thursday, December 06, 2007Most people in their lives in one way or another they felt lonely and depressed. I think this applies to almost all of the people in the human race. Loneliness is a state of mind and it all depends on that person if he choose to be lonely. In order to cure loneliness and depression, others turn to prescription medicines which had some side effects. But there's a website that helps to treat this problem using their method called Sedona. The Sedona Method is a unique, elegant, simple-to-master and very powerful tool that enables you to uncover your natural ability to “let go” of painful, unwanted, counterproductive feelings in the moment … meaning before the negative feelings can do their damage to your inner peace, happiness, stability, relationships, goals and success. It consists of a very easy-to-follow process that leads you to a profound awareness of what you are feeling in the moment, and that gently guides you into the experience of letting all your negative, self-sabotaging feelings go. This method is really a great tool to help people ease away their loneliness, depression and negative feelings.

The other day after hubby got home from work, he put the colored Christmas lights around the railings in our porch. Then I got the garlands and put it also just around the railings with the lights. Then I put red bows for the finishing look. Hubby went inside and switched the Christmas lights and oh my, it looked so pretty. One lady who passed by said we had nice decorations. Also the lady across the street admired our Christmas decorations. We felt happy about our works. Hubby and I did a good job.

Church Christmas Banquet
Posted by Lisa at Thursday, December 06, 2007
We had a good Christmas banquet in our church tonight. Lots and lots of foods were brought in by the church members. There were ham, turkey, green bean casserole, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and a lot more that I can't remeber. Of course there were lots of desserts, different kinds of cakes, cookies, pies, etc. I brought lumpia and as expected they were all gone not too long. The dining hall was well decorated with garlands, Christmas lights, Christmas ornaments and Christmas trees. After eating, Bro. Hugh had preached a good message. We had such a good time tonight in the church. By the way, our Pastor and his wife arrived yesterday from a week vacation. It's good they're back safely and we missed them.

God's Answers
Posted by Lisa at Saturday, December 01, 2007A friend of mine sent this to my e-mail. Read on...
"Come in," God said to me. "So, you would like to interview me?"
"If you have the time." I said.
God smiled and said: "My time is called eternity and is enough to do everything. What questions do you like to ask me?"
"None that are new to you. What's the one thing that surprises you most about mankind?"
God answered:
"That they get bored being children, and in a rush to grow up, and then long to be children again. That they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health. That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live neither for the present nor the future. That they live as if they will never die, and they die as if they had never lived..."
God's hands took mine and we were silent.
After a long period, I said, "May I ask you another question? As a parent, what would you ask your children to do?"
God replied with a smile:
"To learn that they cannot make anyone love them. To learn that it takes years to build trust, and a few seconds to destroy it."
To learn that what is most valuable is not what they have in their lives, but whom they have in their lives.
To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others. There will be others better or worse than they are.
To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most but is one who needs the least.
To learn that they should control their attitudes, otherwise their attitudes will control them.
To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in persons we love, and that it takes many years to heal them.
To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.
To learn that there are persons that love them dearly, but simply do not know how to show their feelings.
To learn that money can buy everything but happiness.
To learn that while at times they may be entitled to be upset, that does not give them the right to upset those around them.
To learn that great dreams do not require great wings, but landing gear to achieve.
To learn that true friends are scarce.
To learn that it is not always enough that they be forgiven by others but that they forgive themselves.
To learn that they are masters of what they keep to themselves and slaves of what they say.
To learn that they shall reap what they plant; if they plant gossip they will harvest intrigues, if they plant love they will harvest happiness.
To learn that true happiness is a decision. They decide to be happy with what they are and have or die from envy and jealousy of what they lack.
To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see something totally different.
To learn that those who are honest with themselves, without considering the consequences go far in life.
To learn that even though they may think they have nothing to give, when a friend cries with them, the find the strength to appease the pain.
To learn that by trying to hold on to loved ones, they very quickly push them away; and by letting go of those they love, they will be side-by-side forever.
To learn that even though the word "love" has many different meanings, it loses value when it is overstated.
To learn that they can never do something extraordinary for Me to love them, I simply do.
To learn that the shortest distance they could be from Me is the distance of a prayer.

Posted by Lisa at Saturday, December 01, 2007Johnny Depp's Latest Movie
Posted by Lisa at Saturday, December 01, 2007If you love watching Johnny Depp's movies then you should look forward for his latest movie! He is a very good actor because he can play different roles excellently. Among his hit movies were the "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl" and "Secret Window". I'm not really into watching suspense-thriller movies but my brothers and hubby does. Nevetheless, I was able to watch his movie Nick of Time and it was really full of suspense and breathtaking scenes. That movie was well-portrayed by Johnny Depp and I think it's one of his best movies. Now after a while here comes his latest movie. Johnny Depp and Tim Buton joined forces as they bring you this movie "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber on Fleet Street". In this movie Johnny Depp portrayed the lead role of Sweeney Todd who was unjustly sent to prison and he vowed revenge not only for the cruel punishment that they did to him but also for the devastating consequences that they did to his wife and daughter. When he returned and reopened his barber shop, Sweeney Todd became the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. He shaved the heads of gentlemen and they never were seen again. This movie is a suspense thriller and musical packed with breathtaking scenes. I'm sure this is another Johnny Depp movie that people would talk about. You should visit the visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site and watch the trailer. Also, don't forget to visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace for more exciting details about the movie. Don't miss it! It's gonna be the movie to watch! It opens on December 21st.
