My friend Ann told me the other day that there was a sale in Bath & Body Works just for 4 days. I love the scents of Bath & Body Works lotion. It really smell good. I used to love Victoria Secret when I was in the Philippines. In fact when hubby went in the Philippines the second time I asked him to buy for me Victoria Secret lotion and he did. He bought me several bottles of Victoria Secret lotion, perfume and exfoliating cream. When I got here in the US I tried Bath and Body Works lotion and I love the smell too. So hubby and I went to the mall yesterday to avail of their sale. As expected, lots of people were there, mostly ladies of course. I even saw my friend Arlene there who also went there to avail of the sale. Imagine the body cream which has a price tag of $10.50 was marked down to $3 only. I got 4 of them, he-he! The lotion which was $9.50 was on sale for $4. I only got 2. I had to fall in line when I checked out. Line was long. Now I have a stock of body cream and lotion.

So Christmas is over but the memories remain. I captured those moments with my digicam. I can always always look at the photos and see what we did this time of year. We have two all-in-one printers in the house. My hubby bought it for me so I can print whatever I want. I mostly print photos in our printer because hubby doesn't want to go to Wal Mart and wait for me while I'm transfering my photos and editing it in the photo machine. "Exactly!"- affirmed Sheryl. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! What
happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That 's why
there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

I am not really into guns or even toy guns because these are for males. My nephews have toy guns and my hubby have 2 pellet guns. I haven't seen my hubby used his pellet guns though. Our revival in our church started today. Our guest speaker Bro. dave McCracken is a very good evangelist. This morning, he preached about repentance. He said that you can't be saved without repentance from your sins. He also said that repentance and faith are like siamese twins. You repent from your sins because you believe that God will save you if you do. Bro. Dave knows how to catch the audience attention. He told stories that relates to the verses that he read. He also crack jokes that made us laugh. Tonight he preached again. Our revival will last until Wednesday. It's our prayer that after the revival, all of us will be revived and our faith will be strengthen.

Our friends Pastor Yanie and Sis Modie treated us for lunch at Golden Corral buffet restaurant yesterday. It was their 28th wedding anniversary and we celebrated it there. They spent the night with us last Friday and they went back to Bowie yesterday afternoon. It was so cold and windy yesterday so we had to wear layered clothes and thick coats. While we were at the restaurant, we keep taking photos as souvenir of that special occasion in our friends' married life. They will be flying to Los Angeles, California on Tuesday and after three weeks they gonna fly back to the Philippines. They've been here in Texas for one and a half year to attend the Bible Translation class. They're so excited to go back and see their kids and their church members. Anyways, we had a good meal yesterday. I got to eat again my favorites meatloaf, chicken fried steak, grilled chicken and corn on the cob. I wish I can eat more but my belly get full easily. My mouth wanted to eat more but my belly said "stop, no more place". But I managed to eat a small slice of carrot cake and a cookie for my dessert. At night I didn't really eat because I was still full. Thanks to Pastor Yanie and Sis Modie for a delicious meal. We will miss you guys. Have a safe trip.

Before going out for lunch at Golden Corral today to celebrate the 28th wedding anniversary of Pastor Yanie and Sis Modie, we thought of taking photos inside our house. We wanted to have souvenirs with our guests. They will be flying to Los Angeles on Tuesday and after three weeks there, they gonna fly back to the Philippines. We will surely miss them but they have works to do there in their church. They're planning to come back again sometime next year. They told me that they will visit my family in Pangasinan. They live in Pampanga and it's just about 3 hours drive. I sent some stuff to them for my sister. Not that bulky because they don't have room no more. Well, here are the photos that we took. Our mattress is already old and needs a replacement. Hubby is already complaining that the mattress is hard on his back that's why he likes to sleep in the other room where the mattress is soft. Last Thursday, our Filipino friends Pastor Yanie and his wife Sis Modie came up here and visited us. Hubby and I were so glad to have them here in our house and they spent the night with us. They are good Christian friends and we really enjoyed their company. They invited us to Cici's Pizza and we met there those people from their church in Bowie. They all came up here in Wichita Falls and have a Christmas celebration at Cici's Pizza. This is a buffet restaurant that serves different kinds of pizza pies. They also have vegetable salad. The East Side Baptist Church paid our meals and it was really a blessing. Hubby had the chance to talk to Pastor Jamie Reed, their church pastor. I was only able to eat 4 slices of different pizza flavors and I already got full. That's the most I can eat. My hubby had eaten a lot though. He loves pizza pies. We went home very full.

Good day everybody! it's still raining today and the temperature is cold. It makes me so lazy and I got up late this morning. Last night I was busy wrapping gifts for the grandkids. After I finished wrapping the gifts, I put them underneath our Christmas tree. Our Christmas tree looks better with the gifts underneath it. I was asking hubby last night what's his gift to me on Christmas. He said "me". I told him I already have him the whole year so I need another gift, he-he-he! Anyways, with gifts or no Christmas gifts, Christmas will still go on. I will just be contented of whatever the Lord will give me. He already gave me His Son Jesus who came here on earth and saved me from my sins. I can't ask for a better gift.

Have a look at the wrapper on a Coca-Cola 1.5 liter bottle and in the ingredients label you will find phosphoric acid in it. Minute quantities of ethylene glycol are also used (which is acknowledged in the soft drink world for making it really chill).

This is popularly known as anti-freeze which prevents water from
freezing at 0 deg C and instead drops it 4-5 degrees with minute
quantities. This chemical is a known slow poison in the caliber of
arsenic. So, if you manage to drink about 4 liters of Coke within
an hour or so, you can die.

Read along and give up these dangerous things. Be natural;
have flavored milks, tender coconuts, buttermilk, and plain water

The other day after hubby got home from work, he put the colored Christmas lights around the railings in our porch. Then I got the garlands and put it also just around the railings with the lights. Then I put red bows for the finishing look. Hubby went inside and switched the Christmas lights and oh my, it looked so pretty. One lady who passed by said we had nice decorations. We had a good Christmas banquet in our church tonight. Lots and lots of foods were brought in by the church members. There were ham, turkey, green bean casserole, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and a lot more that I can't remeber. Of course there were lots of desserts, different kinds of cakes, cookies, pies, etc. I brought lumpia and as expected they were all gone not too long. The dining hall was well decorated with garlands, Christmas lights, Christmas ornaments and Christmas trees. After eating, Bro. Hugh had preached a good message. We had such a good time tonight in the church. By the way, our Pastor and his wife arrived yesterday from a week vacation. It's good they're back safely and we missed them.

Christmas is in the air. Our Christmas tree is up and also the Christmas lights. Hubby just put them up last Saturday. We already did some Christmas shopping yesterday for the grandkids. Among his hit movies were the "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl" and "Secret Window". I'm not really into watching suspense-thriller movies but my brothers and hubby does. Nevetheless, I was able to watch his movie Nick of Time and it was really full of suspense and breathtaking scenes. That movie was well-portrayed by Johnny Depp and I think it's one of his best movies. Now after a while here comes his latest movie. Johnny Depp and Tim Buton joined forces as they bring you this movie "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber on Fleet Street". In this movie Johnny Depp portrayed the lead role of Sweeney Todd who was unjustly sent to prison and he vowed revenge not only for the cruel punishment that they did to him but also for the devastating consequences that they did to his wife and daughter. When he returned and reopened his barber shop, Sweeney Todd became the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. He shaved the heads of gentlemen and they never were seen again. This movie is a suspense thriller and musical packed with breathtaking scenes. I'm sure this is another Johnny Depp movie that people would talk about. This insult or injury was done once, but nourishing of grievance goes on forever by constantly remembering it. Get over this bad habit. Believe in the justice of God and the doctrine of Karma. Let Him judge the act of the one who insulted you. Life is too short to waste in such trifles. Forgive, Forget, and march on. Love flourishes in giving and forgiving.
3. Do Not Crave For Recognition.
This world is full of selfish people. They seldom praise anybody without selfish motives. They may praise you today because you are in power, but no sooner than you are powerless; they will forget your achievement and will start finding faults in you. Why do you wish to kill yourself in striving for their recognition? Their recognition is not worth the aggravation. Do your duties ethically and sincerely and leave the rest to God.
4. Do Not Be Jealous.
We all have experienced how jealousy can disturb our peace of mind. You know that you work harder than your colleagues in the office, but sometimes they get promotions; you do not. You started a business several years ago, but you are not as successful as your neighbor whose business is only one year old. There are several examples like these in everyday life. 5. Change Yourself According To The Environment.
If you try to change the environment single-handedly, the chances are you will fail. Instead, change yourself to suit your environment. As you do this, even the environment, which has been unfriendly to you, will mysteriously change and seem congenial and harmonious.
6. Endure What Cannot Be Cured.
This is the best way to turn a disadvantage into an advantage. Every day we face numerous inconveniences, ailments, irritations, and accidents that are beyond our control. If we cannot control them or change them, we must learn to put up with these things. We must learn to endure them cheerfully thinking, "God wills it so, so be it." God's plan is beyond our comprehension. Believe in it and you will gain in terms of patience, inner strength and will power.
7. Do Not Bite Off More Than You Can Chew.
This maxim needs to be remembered constantly. We often tend to take more responsibilities than we are capable of carrying out. This is done to satisfy our ego. Know your limitations. Why take on additional loads that may create more worries? You cannot gain peace of mind by expanding your external activities. Reduce your material engagements and spend time in prayer, introspection and meditation. This will reduce those thoughts in your mind that make you restless. Uncluttered mind will produce greater peace of mind.
8. Meditate Regularly.
Meditation calms the mind and gets rid of disturbing thoughts. This is the highest state of peace of mind. Try and experience it yourself. If you meditate earnestly for half an hour everyday, your mind will tend to become peaceful during the remaining twenty-three and half-hours. Your mind will not be easily disturbed as it was before. You would benefit by gradually increasing the period of daily mediation. You may think that this will interfere with your daily work. On the contrary, this will increase your efficiency and you will be able to produce better results in less time.
9. Never Leave The Mind Vacant.
An empty mind is the devil's workshop. All evil actions start in the vacant mind. Keep your mind occupied in something positive, something worthwhile. Actively follow a hobby. Do something that holds your interest. You must decide what you value more: money or peace of mind. Your hobby, like social work or temple work, may not always earn you more money, but you will have a sense of fulfillment and achievement. Even when you are resting physically, occupy yourself in healthy reading or mental chanting of God's name.
10. Do Not Procrastinate And Never Regret.
Do not waste time in protracted wondering "Should I or shouldn't I?" Days, weeks, months, and years may be wasted in that futile mental debating. You can never plan enough because you can never anticipate all future happenings. Always remember, God has His own plan, too for you. Value your time and do the things that need to be done. It does not matter if you fail the first time. You can learn from your mistakes and succeed the next time. Sitting back and worrying will lead to nothing. Learn from your mistakes, but do not brood over the past. DO NOT REGRET. Whatever happened was destined to happen only that way. Take it as the Will of God. You do not have the power to alter the course of God's Will.

Last night when we went out from the church after the evening service, snow were falling down. Our truck's windshield and windows were covered with snow. When we were driving back home, all the grass that we passed by were covered with snow. This is the first snow here Texas this year. It's so cold because it's been sprinkling which make the temperature colder. A friend of mine who just came from Denver with her family said that it's colder here in Texas than there. It was snowing in Denver she said but it's colder here in Texas because it's wet because it's been raining the past couple of days. This morning when I got up I opened the door and looked outside. The snow is still there but it's thinning and would you believe that right now the sun is shining bright. It's really weird huh! Oh well this is Texas, the weather changes quickly and it's like a fickle minded lady. Maybe later today all the snow will melt because according to the weather forecast it's supposed to get warmer tomorrow and I like it.

I just talked to one of our church members this morning about their Thanksgiving Day celebration. She said they just spent the day by eating out in a certain restaurant in Oklahoma. I asked her why they went there rather than eating in the same restaurant here in Texas. She said it's just 50 miles away from here and besides, the main reason they don't want to eat again in the same restaurant here because they had a bad customer service experience in that restaurant. She said people there didn't even cleaned the tables and they were not friendly at all. Oh my, I said that's too bad. They should have complained to the manager but they didn't bother to do it. They just boycott that restaurant and don't want to go there no more. We had a great Thanksgiving Day celebration yesterday. What with the presence of two pastors and their wives who came and celebrated with us. It was such a blessing. It was also the first time that I made a pumpkin pie. I thought the pie crust that was in our refrigerator was still good but when I got it out and opened it, it was already dry and moldy. So I had no choice but to make a pie crust from scratch. I was not very good in kneading a dough so Sis Modie took over and kneaded it. It was also her first time to do it. But anyways, the pumpkin pie turned out good though it was prepared by newbies. We made 2 2 pumpkin pies and it was all eaten this morning.
