Why are you bothered? Mind your own business and you will keep your peace.
2. Forgive And Forget.
This is the most powerful aid to peace of mind. We often develop ill feelings inside our heart for the person who insults us or harms us. We nurture grievances. This in turn results in loss of sleep, development of stomach ulcers, and high blood pressure. This insult or injury was done once, but nourishing of grievance goes on forever by constantly remembering it. Get over this bad habit. Believe in the justice of God and the doctrine of Karma. Let Him judge the act of the one who insulted you. Life is too short to waste in such trifles. Forgive, Forget, and march on. Love flourishes in giving and forgiving.
3. Do Not Crave For Recognition.
This world is full of selfish people. They seldom praise anybody without selfish motives. They may praise you today because you are in power, but no sooner than you are powerless; they will forget your achievement and will start finding faults in you. Why do you wish to kill yourself in striving for their recognition? Their recognition is not worth the aggravation. Do your duties ethically and sincerely and leave the rest to God.
4. Do Not Be Jealous.
We all have experienced how jealousy can disturb our peace of mind. You know that you work harder than your colleagues in the office, but sometimes they get promotions; you do not. You started a business several years ago, but you are not as successful as your neighbor whose business is only one year old. There are several examples like these in everyday life. Should you be jealous? No. Remember everybody's life is shaped by his or her previous Karma, which has now become his destiny. If you are destined to be rich, nothing in the world can stop you. If you are not so destined, no one can help you either. Nothing will be gained by blaming others for your misfortune. Jealousy will not get you anywhere; it will only take away your peace of mind.
5. Change Yourself According To The Environment.
If you try to change the environment single-handedly, the chances are you will fail. Instead, change yourself to suit your environment. As you do this, even the environment, which has been unfriendly to you, will mysteriously change and seem congenial and harmonious.
6. Endure What Cannot Be Cured.
This is the best way to turn a disadvantage into an advantage. Every day we face numerous inconveniences, ailments, irritations, and accidents that are beyond our control. If we cannot control them or change them, we must learn to put up with these things. We must learn to endure them cheerfully thinking, "God wills it so, so be it." God's plan is beyond our comprehension. Believe in it and you will gain in terms of patience, inner strength and will power.
7. Do Not Bite Off More Than You Can Chew.
This maxim needs to be remembered constantly. We often tend to take more responsibilities than we are capable of carrying out. This is done to satisfy our ego. Know your limitations. Why take on additional loads that may create more worries? You cannot gain peace of mind by expanding your external activities. Reduce your material engagements and spend time in prayer, introspection and meditation. This will reduce those thoughts in your mind that make you restless. Uncluttered mind will produce greater peace of mind.
8. Meditate Regularly.
Meditation calms the mind and gets rid of disturbing thoughts. This is the highest state of peace of mind. Try and experience it yourself. If you meditate earnestly for half an hour everyday, your mind will tend to become peaceful during the remaining twenty-three and half-hours. Your mind will not be easily disturbed as it was before. You would benefit by gradually increasing the period of daily mediation. You may think that this will interfere with your daily work. On the contrary, this will increase your efficiency and you will be able to produce better results in less time.
9. Never Leave The Mind Vacant.
An empty mind is the devil's workshop. All evil actions start in the vacant mind. Keep your mind occupied in something positive, something worthwhile. Actively follow a hobby. Do something that holds your interest. You must decide what you value more: money or peace of mind. Your hobby, like social work or temple work, may not always earn you more money, but you will have a sense of fulfillment and achievement. Even when you are resting physically, occupy yourself in healthy reading or mental chanting of God's name.
10. Do Not Procrastinate And Never Regret.
Do not waste time in protracted wondering "Should I or shouldn't I?" Days, weeks, months, and years may be wasted in that futile mental debating. You can never plan enough because you can never anticipate all future happenings. Always remember, God has His own plan, too for you. Value your time and do the things that need to be done. It does not matter if you fail the first time. You can learn from your mistakes and succeed the next time. Sitting back and worrying will lead to nothing. Learn from your mistakes, but do not brood over the past. DO NOT REGRET. Whatever happened was destined to happen only that way. Take it as the Will of God. You do not have the power to alter the course of God's Will.

Last night when we went out from the church after the evening service, snow were falling down. Our truck's windshield and windows were covered with snow. When we were driving back home, all the grass that we passed by were covered with snow. This is the first snow here Texas this year. It's so cold because it's been sprinkling which make the temperature colder. A friend of mine who just came from Denver with her family said that it's colder here in Texas than there. It was snowing in Denver she said but it's colder here in Texas because it's wet because it's been raining the past couple of days. This morning when I got up I opened the door and looked outside. The snow is still there but it's thinning and would you believe that right now the sun is shining bright. It's really weird huh! Oh well this is Texas, the weather changes quickly and it's like a fickle minded lady. Maybe later today all the snow will melt because according to the weather forecast it's supposed to get warmer tomorrow and I like it.

I just talked to one of our church members this morning about their Thanksgiving Day celebration. She said they just spent the day by eating out in a certain restaurant in Oklahoma. I asked her why they went there rather than eating in the same restaurant here in Texas. She said it's just 50 miles away from here and besides, the main reason they don't want to eat again in the same restaurant here because they had a bad customer service experience in that restaurant. She said people there didn't even cleaned the tables and they were not friendly at all. Oh my, I said that's too bad. They should have complained to the manager but they didn't bother to do it. They just boycott that restaurant and don't want to go there no more. I remember a few years ago wayback in my own native land, the crown of my 2 teeth got broke and whenever I drink cold water, my gums and teeth became so sensitive. We had a great Thanksgiving Day celebration yesterday. What with the presence of two pastors and their wives who came and celebrated with us. It was such a blessing. It was also the first time that I made a pumpkin pie. I thought the pie crust that was in our refrigerator was still good but when I got it out and opened it, it was already dry and moldy. So I had no choice but to make a pie crust from scratch. I was not very good in kneading a dough so Sis Modie took over and kneaded it. It was also her first time to do it. But anyways, the pumpkin pie turned out good though it was prepared by newbies. We made 2 2 pumpkin pies and it was all eaten this morning.

I had grabbed some high paying opps last night and I was surprised to see this morning that I am one of the top earners for today. It's the first time that I was featured there. My husband haven't been using our van for a while now. It has been stuck maybe around 5 months now because something is wrong with it. I don't know anything about cars but my hubby does. I had my hair trimmed a few days ago. My hair has grown and I would have like it to be that way but the problem is I have a falling hair. Everytime after I take a shower and comb my hair, a lot of my hair stick on my comb. I don't know what causes this falling hair but I wish I know the remedy. One of my friends told me to drink fresh carrot juice to prevent falling hair. So I've been drinking fresh carrot juice but I still have falling hair. So I decided to have my hair cut about 2 and 1/2 inches. Would you believe it was my hubby who cut my hair after I took a shower? It's just easy to cut because it was wet and my hair is thin. No need to go to the parlor and I saved money. Hubby is just returning the favor because I'm the one giving him a haircut too. He doesn't go to the barber and spend money no more. I just do it for him. We gotta do what we gotta do just to save money huh!

I'm really getting tired of my internet provider. Right now I'm still using this dial-up connection and my computer really takes ages to download and go to another page. I'm having a stiff neck already gazing the screen and waiting for the page to come up. I really want to switch to another internet provider and avail of DSL or broadband internet connections. Good morning everyone! It such a nice day today because the Lord has made it. The sun is shining and the temperature is nice. Not that cold and I call it a sweater weather. I just finished cooking our lunch and hubby came home to eat. He just went back to work after eating his lunch. So I'm left alone and I have to keep myself busy by taking some opportunities in PPP. Our mattress is already old and needs replacement. Hubby is already complaining that the mattress is hard on his back that's why he likes to sleep in the other room where the mattress is soft. It's already night time but so far I had only taken 1 opps in PPP today. Those opps are taken so fast. I've been having problems in submitting my posts to PPP in my other blog. My two nephews in the Philippines are very fond of video games. In fact both of them are always playing games in their computer. Last time they requested me to buy them a gameboy. I sent then one a few months ago. Now it seems that they got tired of it and now they want a nintendo. Well, I have to earn first before buying one for them. Yesterday while I was checking my blogs in PPP I found out that this blog of mine has now a page rank of 1. It's really a blessing because I can take more opps now in PPP along with my other blog. This blog has just been approved in PPP and then the next day after it got approved it had a pagerank. I am so thankful to the Lord for all His blessings and provisions.

Since the digital cameras became so popular, my passion for photography became more intense. I just love taking pictures. My hubby told me that he doesn't have a lot of photos until he married me. My first digital camera was a Sony cybershot but it was stolen early this year so my hubby bought me another one which is Nikon coolpix. It takes good photos but not as good as my Sony did. If I have the money, I always wanted to own a Canon SLR. I heard that this one takes good photos and have a lot of good features. One feature I want to have in a camera is that I can focus and zoom it and take a picture from a distance and the outcome will still be vivid. I love taking photos whenever my hubby and I go to places we've never been before and also on special occasions. I also love taking photos of nature because I'm a nature lover. I just love to capture special moments in my camera. I heard that they are selling these digital picture frames that can play slideshows of my digital pictures. Just insert the memory card and you can watch all the photos you've taken. I want to own one of these. I just visited their site and they sell different styles and models. It would be cool to own one of these.

Our garage really needs a complete makeover, from the ceiling down to the flooring. Our garage floor is an old concrete and have cracks. I want to replace it to make it look better.
